Well first off, i already have 18s, kinda bling, not really into the whole bling thing but they look good, theyre wrapped in the BFG gforce...i kinda outgrew the handling thing after i took a ditch with my mustang at about 85, i still love strait line performance though. My friend worked at a nissan dealer in chicago so hes getting me hookups on a ztube for 50 bucks, and a full exhaust for free, i just gotta go pick it up, and its about 5 hrs away from my home town. he said he can still get a stiller blower for my g for about 3500 so i think thats going to be one of my next mods after the basics. But is there blowers out there that clear the stock hood?

man, there is a ton of information about this here on this forum... are you reluctant to search?

for starters, you probably are looking at the stillen sc stage 1 (without intercooler). for 3500. that's not really that good of a deal. since stillen sells them direct for about 3700. take your chances with that.

currently there are two that clear the hood ati, and vortech. each has it's own advantage i.e. ati self lubricating system, vortech tuning ability and affordability, stillen reliability and more usable torque at low rpms, etc... but there are obvious disadvantages of each system as well... search search search. if you start now, you might all of the answers to your questions (before you ask them) some time next week.

depending on which fi solution your look for, avoid other mods that will have to be undone - i.e. cai and vortech, plenum and stillen etc...

but, the straightline performance is not all that impressive in this machine. it's the twisties that make it fun (at least for me). what year was the mustang? i'm asking because it's likely that a suspension mod might change your mind about the straight vs turn speed issue.
