Dealership ****ed up my bumper!

Just had to come in here and tell my story. Ill make this short but Id appreciate all the advice I can get. My cars been in the dealership (Southbay Infiniti) for the past two days while getting some maintenence done on it and I finally got the car back today. Did my usual one time around at the dealership just to make sure nothing was damaged and headed back to work. When I got there, I went around one more time and noticed something on the bumper (didnt notice it when I was at the dealership). When I cleared the dust away, I noticed that there was a section about 10 inches long with, for lack of words, a **** load of scratches . I took it back and showed my service advisor who was very understanding. He offered me a repaint on the whole bumper with their "paint guy" that comes to the dealership once a week.

I was just wondering if there were others who have been in a similar situation. Are the "paint guys" that dealerships use any good? Just worried about the quality and how the finish is going to look.

this happened to me at the same dealership....shady dealership sold me an oem spoiler but installed an aftermarket one...then when fixing my spoiler they scratched the shiet out of my trunk lid and bumper. It looked like a bunch of little scratches all the way accross my car. They took it to Bravo autobody. I talked to the guy at Bravo and he was really cool. They did a good job with the paint match, but I freakin hate this dealership more than anything. I would stay away from them in the future.

they are decent people for the most part...they were willing to fix the mistakes, but the fact that I had this many problems is just ridiculous. they don't seem to take very good care of the cars while they have them.

Well, my dealer's "paint guy" did some work on mine for a similar situation. The guy worked out of a van in the back parking lot. Horrible job. I'd stick around to watch if I were you.

SoBay Infiniti Sucks! I bought my car there and their service manager is a *****! I forget his name, but he's hispanic. Ernesto, maybe. Anyway, as soon as I bought my car from them, that's where the customer service ended. I had issues with clicking in my car, my bose radio having problems and an O2 sensor issue and they gave me nothing but problems because I had RIMS on my car! They suck.

Yeah...ernesto is gone...the other guy john is better...anyways, I made sure to take my rims off first. I would never even want them to have my car with my babies on my car. I would never take that chance.

No - not "the paint guy!!!"

Literally, they pull a van up to your car, a guy gets out, and sprays paint...no booth, no clearcoat (the paint is one-coat with clear added) no sanding, no masking, no polish...dries to a glossy crust and that's supposed to be good?

I saw this once at my nephew's shop (he's a tech at a Dodge dealer) and I was like, "what the hell is that?" and he simply said, "ghetto."

Thanks for the input guys. Ill have to agree with Sundevil and say that treat the cars like crap once its in the back (you'd figure the opposite considering the neighborhood their in). When I go in for an oil change, ill tell them that I want my car to go to Bravo Autobody.
