19's on a Sedan........too sporty?

Part of the reason I bought the Sedan is the more sophisticated look verses the ultra-sporty 2-door. Now I'm looking to replace the OEM 18" sport rims and need a sanity check on wheel size. Seems that practically EVERY modded coupe has 19's (or bigger). And most look great! However, I'm afraid that 19's on the Sedan just look too big and too "racer-wannabe". What's the consensus on 18's vs 19's on the Sedan. Can you retain the classy, "grown up" look with 19's, or are 18's the ticket?

Personal opinion here:

I think the 19" OEM wheels from the coupe look amazing on the sedan. You still retain the classy grown up look becausae they are factory wheels with the Infiniti logo on them and they look perfect because they fill up the empty space remaining in the wheel well with the 18" on.

I am envious of all sedan owners who have the 19" coupe wheels. I would love to sell my brand new 18" sport wheels and get the 19" wheels. Gotta work on taht one.

If I wanted the complete OEM look, I would put '05 19" coupe wheels on my sedan.. but I honestly rather spend that money on some aftermarket 19" wheels such as the HP evo's that Vodka has. It's amazingly sweet.

I think 19's are fine on the sedan. As far as the "grown up look", that depends entirely on the style of the wheels.

I am looking to get 19, 20 on my 2005 sedan. For the grown-up look it all depends the the style of the wheel.

This is where the taste of the person figures into the equation.. I have 19s, and I don't like the bling look of all chrome..

I think your choice on wheel design will have more impact than a 1" difference in size.

If someone locally had coupe 19's available they would be on my car in a second. So ya, that says that.

It does not matter what size you get, it depends on the style. Don't buy an aggressive sporty looking wheel.

What does everyone think of the new M45 Sport 19's? I think they would look real nice on a G since the M looks similar. Anyone else thinking this too?

personally, i don't like the look of 19"s on a sedan - i have 18"s and the visual balance between rim and rubber is just perfect to me. but, again, that's just my personal opinion.

I think the M35/45 19's look frickin' AWESOME. Can't think of any reason they wouldn't look great on a G.

As others have said, it all depends on the wheel choice. If you get a 19" that doesn't have a massive lip it won't look so sporty. For me, I was after a sporty look so i went with a staggered fitment with a fat lip out back.

Honestly though, I think you should keep what you have. IMO there aren't too many aftermarket wheels that look better than the stock 18" sport wheels.

19" wheels on a sedan look awesome, not ricey at all. I have Piaa Super Rozza on my car and I think they look great. If you want give me your email address and i'll send you some pics. I have no idea how to post them
