G35 tail lights

I have seen 2 cars today with the led tail lights that our G's have! Hopefully, our tail lights won't get played out like the (Lexus IS300) "altezza tail lights"

1st car : 06 Honda Accord!
2nd car : 06 Mercury Milan!

IIRC the Cadillac Deville was the first car to have LED tailights, and that was way before the G came out.

Plus the Accord and Milan come with LED lights from the factory, not as a tack, poorly executed aftermarket add-on. I think factory-equipped is a little bit different from the average ricer "upgrade" like the altezza lights were... even though Mitsu put those god-awful lights on the Eclipse.

I wouldn't worry about the design of the light being played out as I am sure Nissan wasn't the first. My 1994 Taurus SHO had an LED CHMSL in the wing.

Where do you all suppose LED's were adopted from? I'm thinking it was from the big rig lights. I remember LED's on them for years.

The G35 wasn't the first to use LED's and they won't be the last. Expect many more in the near future.

I'm not sure if it was the first, but Nissan was pretty early. I had an '87 280ZX where the third breaklight over the the rear window was an LED strip.

Actually, I think the Lincoln Mark VIII was the first. Remember it had the big brake light that took up the whole trunk? That was one big LED taillight.

The little brake light in the rear window shouldn't count. Aren't we talking taillight design?
