Just Curbed My 05 18" Rim, ARGHHHHH !!!

Yeah, I just carelessly hit the curb while entering my work parking structure this morning which left a serious rash on my rear driver-side rim. Damnit!!!

Anyone have any idea where I could find a new OEM 05 18" rim? I've looked all morning and can't really find any solution other than ordering straight from the dealership.

Help!

Go to any wheel and tire store and ask if they can order OEM wheels. Most places like discount tire and firestone can order them. I work at firestone and i can get each wheel for $750 for a customer. I dont know if i could do it but i could probably get you a brand new wheel for $500 plus shipping

You could try to get it fixed. I have a similar curb rash about an inch long and I'm considering calling these guys http://www.mobilewheelrepair.com/index.htm

I recently got pretty bad curb rash on my 05 rim as well. Before I buy a new rim, I'd try calling a wheel repair shop. I live in AZ, and this guy came out to my home. He added metal where it was gone and repainted the wheel to blend in. I am very detailed, and I couldn't tell where the repair was done. He charged $125 for the wheel. Depending on where you live, you should have no problem finding someone. I would give your dealer a call first as I'm sure they have to use these guys often.

I just had the same thing happen to my right rear wheel while trying to avoid a pot hole in a parking lot. I should have just drove through the damn hole (it wasn't that big)!

My curb rash isn't that bad and I'm not going to spend a few hundred dollars on a new OEM wheel (I'd rather get a set of 18" forged aftermarket wheels for that kind of money). So my thought was to swap the damaged wheel for the spare tire assuming the spare is on a matching wheel (my bad, I never have even looked at the spare).

Perfect example of the A$$HOLES on this forum. If you aren't gonna answer the fckin question don't say anything.

xtyper... Check with your dealer. Some dealers have wheel repair ppl come to the dealership every so often to do such repairs. Even if they don't, they may be able to recommend someone local that you haven't been able to locate. Sorry to hear about the curb! Good Luck
