I was told that it had something to do with the springs in the seat belt assembly in the B Pillar. I dunno. The dealership has changed bolts and used tape but the problem has only gotten worse.

The car is due to go in on 11-18-2005 for its 3rd go 'round. Lets hope they get it fixed this time.
To all:

I actually have a permanent fix for all of this - let me draft up a DYI w/some photos, but give me a few days - but for me, this solved the problem permanently. This concerns 3 areas:

- The door/window track [There is a new part # that the dealer has so I assume that Infiniti has redesigned the window track specifically for this issue. This is not the same part # of the original window frame installed at the factory]

- The armrest against the door panel

- The door panel against the door itself

My Car just went in the shop so I was waiting for the results of the new part - but I did look at the new window seal and there is a change: There is now a foam strip that is installed in the track permanentely. Once I have my car back I'll post the new part #'s and how to fix the other rattles.

The other fix is a new bolt, since the current ones have a defect and this allows the window to move enough to cause the annoying creak. However, if the foam doesn't work, this is something else it could be, just a heads up.

www.infinitihelp.com You can find the TSB by searching through that site.

I took my 2005 G in for the creaking windows in October - the sound came back. I dropped it off again today for the windows again, and now a creaking clock finisher, as well as the front passenger door panel.

12K miles...

We'll see....

This did not apply to my car for it had the correct bolt lengths installed at the factory - but may apply to others.
