Is it safe to add about 3gls of 105 octane gas to my tank? A local gas station sells it for 3.49/gl but it says for FFV (fuel flexible vehicle) only. I know some ford taurus says FFV. Has anyone done this yet

The G is NOT a flexible fuel vehicle. The manual does not recommend more than 5% methanol. I would not use 85% alcohol fuel.

Yikes noooooo. Too much alcohol (>5%) and it destroys any aluminum it comes in contact with.

I know some stations sell 100 or 104 unleaded which would be fine for the G (although it would not make a difference), but if it is E85 gas do not use it.

What's the motive to put 100+ octane fuel in your street car? Gas prices not high enough for you?

There will be zero performance increase from doing so.

An FFV has a stainless steel fuel tank and a ethanol/gasoline sensor. Fuggedaboutit!
