I bought one like two months ago from performance nissan and they dropped the ball like 10 times. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. They told me it was on backorder from HKS, but after 3 weeks I called HKS and they told me directly that it's NOT on backorder and that it hasn't been on backorder for over a year.

I let performance nissan know this and they said they were going to get it and ship it that week. Well they didn't, so the next week they promised again, and they didn't. Eventually I just canceled the order. The guy I was dealing with never really returned phone calls or emails, I had to get lucky enough for him to pick up the 800 number. His name was Andy, I don't recommend working with performance nissan.

Long story short, what reputable company with competent associates should I buy the piece from now?

 

Do a search on the web? I've dealt w/ Jason at NissanPerformance and no issues...not sure if he still works there...this was within the past year. They definitely have some of the best prices though, I believe.

How soon can you get it and at what price? I have a re-seller's license for auto parts so I'm thinking of just signing up as a reseller with options and getting it that way but I'm also a little lazy right now.

 

good price means nothing if the product never comes in the mail.

 

I just got my HKS sport muffler for my X sedan and with the coupe middy it sounds great. I can deffiently tell that the torq has gone up but I had no problems with performance nisaan on getting my muffler

That's wierd. I've ordered from performance nissan twice now and dealed with andy both times. He returns my emails the same day and both things i've bought have been backordered, got em within 10 days of my original order. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

 

NEVER had problems with Jason. Bought a lot of stuff from him and not a damn issue :-) Sorry to hear about your bad experience :-(

yeah i called my guy @HKS and he said he had plenty in stock @ $450.00
