Stoptech stage 2
Stoptech stage 2
I did a search and couldn't find much about it, but I was wondering if anybody has the Stoptech stage 2 brake upgrade from Performancenissanparts? More specifically, if anybody has anything to say about the rotors. Here's a link: http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...oducts_id=3424
For the price, it seems like a good deal seeing that it comes with 4 pads, 4 rotors, brake fluid, and SS lines. Just want your opinion. Thanks!

I've got that kit, overall pretty good. Only problem is sqeaking when it is hot in the summer also the black coating on the rotor hub does go out far enough so there is now a ring of rust around the part of the rotors that the pads don't come into contact with. With the ss lines you definately get a firmer brake pedal.
I have this kit and am very happy with it. Great performance and no squeel and very little dust. The slotted rotors can also be turned whereas drilled ones must be flat out replaced.
The rust ring does exist.
The pedal feel is reversed from stock in that the grabbiness occurs at the end of the pedal cycle not at the beginning. This makes it much more controllable in my opinion.

Oh yeah, almost forgot..... I know that the stock brakes suck and wear out pretty fast, but how much better do these compare? Like twice as long to wear out? more or less?
Thanks for all the information btw... just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money.

Wow... What a difference.
For anyone with the non-BREMBO's, I would highly recommend they go this route when they are due for new brakes. You truly have better feel and control over your braking with these.
Plus, with the pricing, I want to say that the set was less expensive than regular brakes from the Infiniti dealership. Very cost effective!
Here is another alternative that I just went with:

We get a discount for being members of this forum, and let me just say, its a VERY nice discount! Not sure if I should post it, but PM if you want to know more. I am installing them tomorrow. I know DaveO has these on his car and loves them. Basically, it increases rotor size to 13" front and rear, and it comes with Hawk brake pads. Another great benefit is that IF you ever want to upgrade to the 4 piston calipers, you only have to buy the calipers...the rotors are the same!
