like LuXXXz said it will work fine. I'm running the sedan 18's and summer performance tires on my X and love the difference in handling from the stock 17" all seasons.

The X has a bit firmer suspension than a stock sedan to help carry the extra weight with the AWD on the X. I opted to leave ours at the stock height because we didn't want to lose any ground clearance when driving in bad winter conditions. I'm pleased withe the ride as is.
I believe there are a few that have lowered their X.

My understanding of AWD and aftermarket/stock rims is that your wheels must be equal sized rims and tires. You can't do a stagger set up, or even different sized tires...everything has to be equal all around...if not it will mess up the AWD computer and the handling.

Here are a couple of more recent pics, so you can judge.

The tires I have on the sport 18s are the original tires that come on those rims , they are the Goodyear NCT5 235/45R18 tires. They are a summer tire so I switch to winter wheels and snow tires this time of the year.
The general feeling that I hear on the stock 17" tires that come on the AWD is that they are not a very good tire.
I have a 35% tint on my car.

yeah it does look nice. i know i have a few customers lower their G35x minimal which helped in handling and looks but kept the softer ride

Thanks LuXXz and Minaret.
Minaret you see these on the board here for sale once in a while. I bought mine from a friend who changed out his wheels as soon as he purchased his sedan.

I'm with Gee35x- This is a great upgrade for the X- I have opted not to lower this car for the same reasons-(that's why I bought it) The 18s and lower profile tires help the handling- I figure I'll try to do a rear sway bar in the future. Here is a mini pic-
