Hmmmm....what's the elevation of this track? Were you running at Firebird? I know Firebird sits at about 2,200' above sea level so that doesn't help things and if you ran last night, conditions were such that the density altitude was around 3,200 feet which is enough to suck out about .5 seconds. Either way, it sounds like your ETs are still a little high (most likely low 15s at sea level).

What were your 60 foots like?
Trapspeed?
Were you holding 3rd?
How were you launching?

It was here in VEgas at the Las Vegas Motor Sport track
elevation is probably 2200' or real close to it..
If I can figure out how to upload or attach the slips I will..

15.5 is respectable. Its completly stock.. 15s are what stock 5.0 muatangs run out here. WRX Sti's run mid to high 14s

Some times people forget about climate and ambiant conditions when they see ETs.

Thats all a stock g35 will do. Not much you can do with the 5AT but get off the line as fast as possible and shift near the redline..

14.2 bone stock with an auto sedan. you should be running at least mid 14s

throw some nitrous on there, i was running 13.0 at 110 twice with no traction, got a 12.9 at 96, i hit my brakes at the end and all, just to show everyone i had a bad run. they were like dude. why did you hit your brakes, i said "it was a crappy run man" they said you ran 12.9

i will run 12.6 12.7 for sure next time i go. god i love nitrous

100 shot, skunk2 spacer, test pipes, injen CAI, and evo 2 exhaust.....

i think thats some pretty respectable times for 2 too many doors!!!! hehehe

ps once again, dont power brake the auto, just hold your foot on the brake and then floor it, all at the same time. you should pull high 2.1s without even trying on the stock tires at full tire pressure....

theres NO way that a stock sedan, here in Vegas, will run low to mid 14s... Maybe at sea level in Florida, but not in the high desert.
NOS is a different story, but thats not stock.. THere are a few Gs that run out here and 15s is a good average.

sorry but I would have to see that to believe it..

go to the florida g35 section and ask anyone what i ran stock. i know i am in florida so stuff is different but i ran 14.2 witha 2.1 60 foot and finished at 95 mph. that was totally stock with the spare tire and jack out....

the main thing with the autos is not to powerbrake it off the line, it causes it to bog and you will get really bad 60 ft times....

I power braked it a little bit but not enough to spin the tires, with the VDC off.. After I let off the brake I would get a little tire spin but no bog.. I was up against Sub WRX both runs the 2nd run was an Sti..
I took both off the line to about the 60' mark where the Sti began overtaking me. I beat the non-sti wrx on the 1st run. My 60' times are 2.3 seconds. THe WRXsti ran a 13.8..
I had a little over a 1/4 tank of gas, aprox 5 gallons @ 6lbs per gallon= 30lbs and the spare and jack were still in the car adding another 40 lbs..

yeah, 2.3 60 ft times are really slow, not raggin on your takeoff at all, but you should be able to do much better. just hold that brake, set your right foot about 8 inches off the gas, when the tree hits that second yellow, slam your right foot down and let off your brake foot. it might spin a bit but you should pull at least low 2.2s and 2.1s on occasion....

the difference in 14.5 and 15.5 is about ten car lengths, you should def be able to do better...
