2006 g35x rear window tint install

Going to get my x tinted, tint shop asked me whether would like a cut out around the rear brake light... i said no, they told me that it is a bit difficult as the light is extremely close to the rear window.

Looking for some advice, would they have to remove any panels to get in behind the rear brake light to install the tint... if so what would they need to do. Anyone have any experience in this? What looks better, a cutout around the brake light or no cut out. Anyone seen both or have pictures they can share?

Thanks

I have an 05 G35x and my rear window was didn't. 5% all the way around.

They asked if I wanted the light cut-out also, I said no. It's very simple for anyone who knows how to isntall tint. No panels have to be removed. Just a little bit more water than normal.

Make sure they get all the water out from between the tint and the window or you'll have bubbles with in a couple days that wont go away.

They need to use a puddy knife or something of the like (plastic, not metal) to get inbetween the light and the window.

Definately possible :-)

Agree with kensandell, definately doable. But by the same token, my shop cut around the light and it looks great. Can't even tell. So I wouldn't sweat it either way.
