Mid pipe

Just wondering if any one ever just put a staright pipe instead of the coupe mid pipe? Wondering what the results have been?

I just got my middy off of 05Blk. He just went to a muffler shop and had them cut out the HUGE resonator on the sedan and in place they welded in a straight pipe. Paired with his pop-charger it sounds pretty mean.

It's not too loud... Let's just say it gives it a real nice growl. No drone or rasp. I installed my middy today and i noticed what all you guys say is the "drone" around 1500-2000 rpm's when cruising... everyone who says this must have some sensitve a$$ ears or maybe its the fact that i used to have a '97 eclipse GST with a full exhaust that was loud as Hell... i dunno, the so called drone from the coupe middy doesnt bother me at all.

Yeah, I'm use to the "drone" now and since installing my Y-pipe, its actually quieted down some.

I used to have it on my car. Sounded great and in my opinion it gives midrange tourqe. When the car is cold it sounds kinda ricey but when it warms up u just wanna floor it everytime to hear the growl. And In the tunnels try it above 4500Rpm. Best sound ever.
