Has anybody read and experienced what Car and Driver (10/05) noted for the 2005 G35 6M sedan? I have been experiencing it and will visit the dealership for a possible fix.

I don't know if this is the same noise, but I have experienced a terrible noise that sounds metallic when depressing the clutch. this has only happened once or twice at slow speed in neutral, never during normal driving. The service manager told me that unless they could reproduce it while they had it, they wouldn't be able to do anything. So I haven't bothered taking it in. I hope it doesn't become more frequent. Please give a followup on what they are able to do if anything.

 

That "cement mixer" sound has been with us from the beginning (6MTs).
