monroof problems

doesn't the moonroof close by itself when you press the close buton? ,ine has not been doing that as of late and i have to hold the button for it to close. the car has been with me for 2 months now and i hope i don't have a serious problem here

that happened to me a few weeks ago...Do a search on this forum and you'll find the answer. There is a TSB for this, you can do it at home. I'd tell you what it was but I forgot the steps to reset your moonroof.

If you push the button briefly, it should close automatically. If you push and hold it for more than a second, it will stop when you let go. Make sure you are just touching it and letting it go for auto operation.

Is the moonroof supposed to have 1-touch open/close for tilt (up/down)? Because mine does not...

My 05x is also one touch only for open/close but not for tilt. Not really stupid since the tilt function works so quickly anyway. This way you have the option of opening a little less if you wish, something quite difficult to do with the one touch tilters.

Yeah - okay - I see that point. (I have the 05 x btw...)

I just miss being able to hit the close button quickly. Takes some getting used to after coming out of a car that had 1-touch close...I have left my roof open overnight a few times (no rain - thankfully!)
