Talking Finally! Bat's GTR Style Taillight Overlay for 05 and up! (PICS)

These turned out really nice. It's a 2 piece kit, and I would recommend a professional for install, unless you're really experienced with applying Overlays. Once applied, the results are well, I'll let the pics speak for themselves . You can get it in Full Smoke Version as well. Grant chose the lighter 3/10 tint, although I was alittle skeptical since you have better contrast with the 6/10 tint for the GTR Kits. It actually turned out really nice on his IP. It is harder to see the cutouts under different lighting situations with the lighter 3/10. Pricing info is in my Gallery, Email me if interested:

dubbleA@peoplepc.com

I'll have Headlight pics up soon .

LMAO! I was just on your site and I thought I had stumbled onto pictures that were not suppose to be released yet I was about to go post in the other tread on the overlays... I am interested but I will wait for the head light pictures to save on shipping since I live in Hawaii.

I LOVE IT!!! I just did a photoshoot with my car today andy, got a bunch of pics of the tails and heads in the sun where they look the best.

For all of you thinking of getting the taillight overlays, if you have a dark colored car, i'd go with the 6/10 to get more contrast like Bat said. The 3/10 on the headlights is perfect though.

The pictures dont do the overlays justice because you cant get the picture where the sun hits it perfect. Hope you guys like it. Ill post my headlight pics after Bat posts his.

Yea, i think it would too perry... the 3/10 is very light and subtle but noticable on ivory pearl. With darker colors the 6/10 will be more distinct.

how much do the headlight overlays reduce light output on the sedan?

what do you offer? 3/10, 6/10, yellow, or blue? what are light output differences in these?

I got the 3/10 headlight overlays and the output to my eyes is maybe a 5-10% reduction. You can tell the HID's arent as bright but they still put plenty of light on the road at night. And thats saying alot from me because i'm blind without my glasses at night.

The overlays are available in 3/10, 6/10 smoke and ice blue and yellow

What is the technique for installing the '05 tailight overlays?

Is it like window tinting? using a heat gun to "shrink" the film to fit around the bends?

You need a squeegee some warm water/soap and a heat gun, a little skill wouldnt help either. It took a pro installer 2 hours to do both my heads and tails.

Definately sounds like a good tinter should be able to do the job. 2Hours seems like a long time though.
