Your pictures have me curious. I wonder what a blacked-out grill would look like on my IP sedan with black rims, and a tint. I have a feeling that it would looky pretty sh!tty, but I just can't picture it in my head. Anyone interested in doing some photochops of my car with a blacked-out grill?
Well the black out idea came from Lexus and VW. VW R32 you can get blacked out emblems, etc. Same goes for the Lexus IS300. It looked great on a black car. I plan to paint the rear one eventually as well black but leave it on. I just haven't taken it off yet. This was a big test to see how well I could do the grill first before I did any more. I plan in the future to do the chrome all over the car to make it all black. But that is way down the road.

Black on Black on Black....

I really like your grille black but for me I'd prefer the emblem chrome or on a
previous post they were asking about black chrome. Black chrome never
gets pitted and is always glossy............just an option.

Trey,
If you just want to get an idea what it would look like with a blacked out grill, get a roll of vinyl electrical tape. Tape over the chrome bars, and stand back to observe. Certainly not suitable for a permanent fix, but should be OK to give you an indication if you want to go that way.

That wasn't my point. I was genuinely expressing appreciation for what you did. It's better than anything I could have done, and it does help me form the image in my mind.
