Did you click on the Quote flag in the lower right corner of the person's thread you want to quote and reply to.

I have to agree Gee35X's car looks great in person. Colour and the wheels look fantastic.

I'd like to have one.

The problem with using the coupe wheels and tires on the X , is that the coupe comes with different size tires front and back, but the front and rear rims are the same size, so you must purchase 4 tires the same size because you should not run a staggered set-up on the X. The coupe rims are 30mm offset so they stick out quite a bit more, but they look real good on the sedans. I know there are a few rwd sedans running the coupe 18 x 8s or 19 x 8.5" and they look really good. I have heard in a couple of cases where they did rub.

Thanks Ian, I appreciate that .
Does a staggered set-up apply to tire size only? The coupe rims have different widths and offsets for the front and rear. If I use the same tire size, 235/40/19, on all 4 wheels, will this set-up not be considered staggered, and therefore may be used on the X?

That is new to me that the G35 coupe has different size rims front and rear, I just checked my literature for 2004 and 2005 and it lists the front and rear rims as being the same size, it's just the tire sizing that is different.
2004 Coupe..Standard- 6 spoke, 7.5" x 17" alum alloy
2004 Coupe...Available- 7 spoke, 8" x 18" alum alloy
2005 Coupe...Standard- 6 spoke 7.5" x 17"
2005 Coupe...Performance- 7 spoke 8" x 18"
2005 Coupe..Sport- split 5 spoke 8.5" x 19" alloy

But irregardless you should run the same size rims and tires all around on the X, at least thats what the general consensus is.

I'm running 18x8s with 245/40 18s and I have no issues. The front is kinda close to the suspension arm (about 1/8th- 1/4" away) but it doesn't rub. I think that a 42mm or 38mm would be best. BTW, here is a pic:

I know it needs a drop, just waiting on Tokico to put out a D Spec for the X.
