how do you guys like your g35? hows the handling and luxury aspects of it?? thanks

I think it is a lot of car for the money. The performance of the car is very much like that of a pure sports car. My last four cars were a '88 IROC 350, '95 6 speed Z28, '00 Maxima SE 5 speed, and finally my G35. The G incorporates the some of the best attributes of my previous cars into one. Power, refined handling (the camaros handled, but only because of fat tires and stiff suspension), solid build, and a very nice interior that doesn't squeek or rattle. I have 16,000 miles on mine, and it still impresses my how nice it rides down the road. I think the biggest compliment I got was from my sister who has a BMW 540. She commented on how nice the interior was, and how well it handled bumps.

B.T.W.--How well do you like your IS300?

 

I just got my G last week, sedan/prem/sport/nav, and I love it. I researched most of the cars in the same class before I bought my G and found that it had the best value. So far, the performance is great, and I've noticed that it has more room than an IS. Funny...all of my friends jock my car, especially the one with the IS...

 

wow, ricky williams drives a g35? i like my is alot, has great handling...just dont like the fact i cant garage it right now....lookin for something else. my friend just got a g35 about a week ago....id ask him bout the performance, but he drives like a [censored]

Came down to a G35 or IS300 for me.... the IS300 has better handling and the braking seemed just as good as the G35. If you have a automatic the Eshift on the IS blows away the manumatic on the G35. Really the only category that the G wins on is engine. That's what sold me.

You guys should tell Lexus to bump up the power on that motor. If the IS had a 260HP/260Torque engine I wouldn't be driving a G35 right now.

I considered the IS300. But the dealers total lack of interest in ordering and stocking MT cars absolutely killed the idea. Then their were less suttle things that lured me away. I like the G's bigger size, better power curve, and I felt the interior was dated in the IS. Plus I loved how the Z drove, I knew it would be easy to bestow some Z magic onto the G.

It came down to the IS or the G for me too. I agree with alderran and nismo4090, I chose the G because it had more power. I even called and asked the Lexus guys if the next year’s models would have more power (they said no). I was hesitant to get the G ‘cause it was bigger than anything I’d driven before, but I’ve had my G since Jan. and the only regret that I’ve had is sometimes I wish I’d gotten the 6 speed. Otherwise, I love my car!

 

the G is a great car for street and everyday driving. but not that great when you take it out on the track. the stock suspensions is too soft which makes the car rock during turns. also it tends to slide alot at these turns, could be a combination of the stock tires and suspension

they say there might be an is430, but who knos....his is a sedan...he had a loaner and i drove it and its got alot of power...didnt care for the feel, but mine is lowered made it feel big and a bit clumsy....didnt care for the auto shifting either. thanks for your posts
