Anyone Scotch Guard their carpet?

Just curious if anyone has Scotch Guarded the carpet in their G. I'm considering doing the vertical portions of the carpet that aren't protected by the all weather floor mats. With winter in full effect here in Kansas City (12" of snow last week), the roads are wet and coated with salt, liquid sodium de-icer, sand and grime. Let me know the type of Guard you used and how it's worked out.

At one time I heard that they were going to stop selling scotch guard because the teflon molecules were so small that they were easily absorbed by the skin.

Good idea. I have always done my carpets, helps to reduce staining and the stuff really repels spills . I had them get the G done as part of the initial purchase.

Yes....just got around to doing it. Only the mats---odor is too much for the actual carpet and mats take the brunt of the mess. Also, if you get a stain, try a product called "Spot Shot"...pretty good at removing unwanted stains. I've always scotchguarded my mats and seats when I used to have cloth. Gotta leave it opened up for a few days to clear the smell.
