What is N.E.S.?
What is N.E.S.?
I just purchased an '06 6mt sedan. I noticed a button under the small leftmost window in the center console display. When I press it, it lights up N.E.S. with an arrow pointing up between the E and the S. I could not find any information in the owners manual. Does anyone know what this is?

Didn't the salesman go over hte car with you??
That "N.E.S" is your compass!! (North, East, South)
There is a button that you can use to change the magnetic region you are in. You would only change it to make sure the compass reads correctly.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you should really read your manual from cover to cover. Sounds like you will find out about a lot of cool stuff!

Check your "get to know your car" thing you should have gotten in your manual "pack". That should have all of that stuff in it.

I must say that it is a bizarre looking compass display. And no, my dealer did not show me that. The sales guy was a noob. And I was just happy to be walking away with what I wanted for 29k. A 6mt sedan in the DC area was not the easiest car to find.

Well glad you got a good deal and I would suggest going through the manual so you can get all the needed info.
Oh and don't mind my lesser half - he is just a smart@$$ at heart and can't help it.
