I haven't chosen my head unit yet, but am leaning towards a AVIC-N1.
To do your install did your friend have to take apart your dash? In an 03 this is required, and might be a bit more work than your install... just trying to give your good info to get me the right price

The N-1 is a pretty nice unit, i was going to get it at first but it was a little to pricey for me and i dont really need navi. Yes he had to take apart the whole dash to get the bracket out to mount the new HU, It should be the same amount of work for your car just the parts are shaped a little different. Depending on if you want a pocket below your HU it might cost a little more. I think the pocket would have been $15 but i just told him to put ABS plastic to cover the hole as i have plans for it. Install should be no more than $115 with the pocket though.

Gdup,
I am actually probably gonna go with a Double Din HU so the pocket won't be an issue, now I am leaning towards the ECLIPSE AVN5435. I live in the North West but I will be in Southern Cali over the fast approaching holidays.
I'm guessing I will need to order and bring with me all the pieces for my dash? Double Din Conversion, Bracket, A/C Control, and the HU?
Do I need to make an appointment?
Please let me know, as I will need to order the parts from Grubbs ASAP to have them in time for my arrival in So. Cal.
Really appreciate your help!
