Christmas Part II
A couple weeks ago I posted that I brought myself my Christmas present I just wanted to share a picture with you all...
I brought a set of Axis Milanos for my 05, The cost was 1495 including shipping to Hawaii the wheels were off of a 2005 Maxima and had been driven on for 1 month before the seller's car was brought back by Nissan. Checking out the tread wear, tire markings and the condition of the wheels seems he was right they are very much a brand new set up.
After two days of driving I am still trying to get use to the additional road noise coming from the Toyo Proxy TS-1 tires they are very grippy and handle corners much better than the stock setup. The weight of the wheels and tires was 50lbs so I saved about 1lb over the stock 51lbs 18" wheel.
I took one picture earlier today I will take some more tomorrow the building in the back ground has some historical significance as well it was attacked by the Japanese in WWII there are still bullet holes all over the building that were preserved as a reference...
Wheel stats
19x8.5, Offset +35, tires 245/40/19 Axis Milanos Hyper Silver new design with an additional 5th rivet to prove they are authentic axis wheels.
The car is not lowered but I don't think I will need it since I went for a higher profile tire I will take some close ups to show you that the wheel gap is not that bad. If you look at the picture while standing up you can see how small the wheel gap is. It's a secret of photography I learned

Surprised nobody complained that the car needs to be lowered I guess looking at the picture while standing actually did work! Next mod on my list is the factory aluminum pedal kit found it on ebay for 65 dollars. New rotors, brake pads, brake lines and fluid after tax season since I only have 7100 miles on the car.
