What are some good on-line places to buy these for an 05 sedan? Is the 05 different?

Everything G35 is a sponsor and they carry them and there is no difference in 05-06.

Of course, dealers have them for $80, which might be the same w/shipping.

Yes, the '05 is different than the '03-'04, it's slight, but it is different, I had to order the mats for my '05, since the ones they had in stock at the time didn't fit quite right.

I meant 05 and 06 are the same...I got the 05s from the dealer. Normally $80 but I got them thrown in as part of the deal.

If you can get them at a local dealer for $76 then go that route and you'll have them right away... if you can or want to wait, g35parts.com has them for $72 not including shipping which may end up being the same or more.

like i said, my local dealer sold them for $76 and after CA tax, came out to $81.89 or basically $82.

I got splashguards for 20 plus less than local dealer thru g35parts.com and that's with shipping.

online isn't always better, so do comparisons before you buy...

Oh, okay, I see what you mean, I'm sure the '06's are the same, they didn't change the interior at all.

I just purchased the all weather mats myself a couple weeks ago. Before that I had the Exact transparent mats which looks great but it doesn't really trap water or snow and it gets slippery. The all weather mats are great. Just curious do you guys put that on top of the existing mats or do you remove the original mats? Right now I have it on top of the original mats.

I too had the ExactMats in my '04, but they didn't fit the '05, but I like these AllWeather mats better. Mine came with a warning not to use them on top of another mat, I just took my carpeted mats out, still in the closet, brand new, LOL!

I just read it from here too not to install on top of the existing mats

I guess I'll remove the original mats. Probably just need to remove the driver one. Will check it out later. Thanks.

Yeah, I left my rear mat in place as well!

Look at it this way - when you have all-seasons, it is recommended not to place them over existing carpeted mats - primarily for safety on the driver's side mat to avoid blocking the pedals. Also keep in mind that the backing on the rubber mats will unnecessarily wear the carpeted mats. Since we love our cars so much this just seems silly, no?

Now, for me, I leave the rubber mats in all the time. My carpeted mats are in a box in the basement, brand new, ready for my buyer when I sell. I did the same thing with my previous car and believe me, the buyer appreciated that the mats were new - really blew him away and added to the fact that I kept my car so pristine.

My $.03 (counting for inflation )

I took the original front mats out before. Then I was debating whether or not to take the rear original mats out. What I realized is, with the "double mats" in the rear, when I try sitting in the back and sticking my foot behind the front seats, the area was really tight (since double mats raise it up). Then I removed the original mats, sat in the back again and the foot area was much more comfortable with just the all seasons. Now I only have all seasons in front and back (at least for now) but then on the rear, you lose the extra protection in the middle hump.

Now that I am thinking it might be because my seat is lowered all the way. I didn't try sitting behind the front passenger. Maybe there's a bigger gap behind that.
