Effect of sports suspension pkg?
Re: Effect of sports suspension pkg?
I don't think its the springs that are the problem on the non-sport suspension. I feel its the shocks. They need to damp the movement more. Whenever I go over a crest or bump the motion takes a bit too long to settle. Does anyone know if anyone makes shocks for the car yet? I know they have a Bilstein set available thru Nissan for the G but is it available in N. America thru Bilstein directly?

I meant the coupe's suspension is in the sedan with sport package already.

That's what I was told to, but I noticed that on Ducatiguys spring spring install on his coupe. That the struts are black vs the red one's I pulled off my 6mt sedan. But one's things for sure, they sure don't feel any different to drive either one. So I don't think their color matters eh.

Re: Effect of sports suspension pkg?
I was under the impression that the coupe has a tighter suspension setup than the sport-tuned sedan.

I agree with your comment's on the sport suspension. On your questions regarding if their's a aftermarket sturt out yet? Koni sports (which are adjustable) will be out this fall, they have finished the R&D work and it's now just a matter of producing them. Also on the Bilsteins, they are of course a JDM fitment. They are NOT a more sporting alternative, they are less aggresive. I would expect them to be a more sophisticated option for a non sport buyer.

Re: Effect of sports suspension pkg?
I've seen somewhere the coupe and sedan spring rates/load are the same, I do suspect the shocks may have longer travel but same compression and rebound. Only thing I wish the sport suspension had a little better rebound control. You'll notice this over a dip or hump in the road that jumps the car and unsettles it.
Sachs and Bilstein Sport Shocks really have this down without being harsh, Koni a second alternative. Thats why they're a favorite with BMW, Audi and Mercedes. Unfortunately, none available for Gs yet. The JDM Bilsteins are not the Sport shocks from what I know. Still, all in all, not a bad suspension.

Re: Effect of sports suspension pkg?
the sedan's sport have the same suspension as the coupe
the JDM Bilsteins are optional.
the 350Z suspensions is the best alternative choice. the spring rate is the same as the coupe and sedan, but the shocks are different.

Re: Effect of sports suspension pkg?
well if sport suspension has better shocks then maybe I should just 'upgrade' to the sport suspension shocks. Though, I bet they cost about double to triple a set of Koni or Bilsteins.
