where you say you like a body shop that is good, i judge my insurance company that way. they will recommend a shop but you can go elsewhere. you have shop look at car, they then negotiate price.

you can't scam them, but you get great svc, low rates.

 

I lucked out with my center... As soon as the accident happened, I called A) The police, B) my best friend, C) My parents D) My Infiniti salesman E) AAA. My best friend and Infiniti both said "take it to Harvey's-- they do the best work in town". It's waaaay out of the way, but when I called my insurance company and I told them where it was, they said "That's our Gold Premium Preferred partner. Good choice." *phew*
If they type out the invoice along with a detailed description of the 5-step paint system and how long it takes for each step, that's pretty thorough to me... I can't deal with indercypherable scribbled estimates.
