G35 or GS300
well... i saw so many posts about comparing cars to our G..so therefore i was wondering how about the GS300 vs G35? My friend needs a new car like SOON...maybe by this weekend.. i have been trying to tell him to get the G35 with fully loaded out the door probably only cost like 38-9k or less(plz correct me if im wrong thx) but GS300 with leather seats and HID with 2 options, out the door is around 42-1k so i tried to tell him why only get so much lesser options when u can much more options with lesser money... so i dont know what was he thinking?? The only reason he told me that he is not getting the G35 is because i already have one... i was like .... anyway, my point is i want to know how many of you would pick GS300 over G35? (i know its dumb question..cuz its G35 forum but oh well ! ) any inputs would be really appreciated!!
03, twlight blue (not a special color anymore!! that sucks!!) prem, HID, too bad didnt get sports suspension and navi !!!

Re: G35 or GS300
I would still get the G35 because i don't care too much for the styling of the GS, i think it just looks to fat. and second i have a personal disliking to pretty much every Lexus Dealership i've been to. Now i can't say that the service is better because Infiniti service dosent blow my socks off and i've never owned a lexus, but Lexus sales people really **** me off. Oh, and i also don't care too much for lexus interior styling.
Re: G35 or GS300
The Lexus GS series are luxury cars compared to the entry-level luxury G35.
I personally would pick a G35 sedan over the GS300, cause I like the sporty driving feel of the G35.
I’ve read that the GS300 has a wallowy/floaty ride, but are really quiet highway cruisers and have super smooth inline 6 engines.

Re: G35 or GS300
It depends what your looking for. I had 99 GS300 and I loved the car. It very luxurious and a smooth ride. I found myself wanted more power and performance. When comes to performance it doesn't even come close to the G35. When I bought the G35 after my lease on the Lexus expired, it was just what I wanted. I can't say the G35 is a better car but it's definately a better performing car which is what I wanted.

IMO, I think people who go for Lexus think the quility of car is better than other 2, quietness and luxury are major factors, think about the high scores given by Consumer Reports and JD Power for the past, consumer have been brain washed.
for myself, I never owned a Toyota or Lexus, every product from Toyata is over-priced to other 2 in my opinion.

I kinda disagree....not every product from Toyota is over priced. My mom's 02 Avalon is great deal for the money.
I mean...if you are talkin about Lexus...I think they are over priced compare to its worth. Well, I guess that's what you have to pay for the premium Toyota products.
I heard their dealer service is super dooper nice. Well, what do I know...we have Toyota.

Re: G35 or GS300
When you compare Avalon to other equivalent models from others, say Max with equally good qulity, it's over-priced and I believe that is a worst selling car from Toyata , so it's heavily discounted for the reason, a under-powered big box on 4 tiny wheels. Another aspactI don't like Toyata is everything you like to have in you car is mostly optional, when you add them up, you know what i am talking about over-priced.

The Avalon is a full-sized car. The Maxima isn't that big. Compare it to a Ford Crown Victoria or a Buick Park Avenue. It doesn't sell well because full-size cars aren't as much in demand as they used to be.

The Maxima is a full-sized vehicle, too. The 2004 model is about the same in interior space compared to the avalon, slightly bigger in some dimensions, a little smaller in others. I think the real reason the Avalon doesn't sell well is lack of power and bland styling. And I agree with the other poster, the Avalon looks too big for it's wheels, makes it look wimpy.

That's new, then. The Maxima was always the contender against the Accord and Camry, until recently when the Altima took up that job.

Re: G35 or GS300
I think we are off the topic now, back to G35 or GS300, they are really cars from two generation, G35 was designed with new ideals, tech and have a target (higher spec) to shoot for. If you really have to go with Lexus, let's see what GS330 can come up with, then we can have another round of discussion about them.
