IMHO, I would reset the ECU. It might be acting a little funny.

Think about it for a second, reseting the ECU results in an ECU that must revert back to a safe preset fuel map. This safe fuel map will be very rich because Nissan doesn't want you to blow the engine if you were driving in an oxygen rich/dense environment. As you continue to drive, the ECU will start adjusting the A/F ratios and timing to be more aggressive and match the conditions the engine is run in. At WOT there will be very little difference between a reset ECU and one that is not. Part throttle wise though, there will be a noticable difference. I notice about a 10-15% drop in MPGs and boggy part-throttle acceleration after an ECU reset. My 96 Maxima with the 3.0 VQ did the same exact thing.

I gain MPG when I reset my ecu. And everyone else I know gains 1-2 mpg.
A ECU reset will get rid of any parameters the ECU learned that may be causing your rich issue. Just RESET it and be done with it. Either way it won't hurt.
