i took a glimpse at the coupe forum and i noticed a thread about changing the gear ration to 3.9 for acceleration gains
has anyone done this on a sedan
it seems like its a cheap way of making a good gain in a 1/4mile????

 

1. no significant improvement in 1/4 mile times
2. increased fuel use
3. loss of cruise control

it is not worth it.

 

Although #2 and #3 are undoubtebly true, I would argue with you about point #1, and point #4, which is the fun factor would go up 10x. But...I'm too lazy to have this debate.
