Jwt Pop Charger Install Complete

Just though I would share. Got the pop charger installed today along with the Z tube. I must say I am truely impressed with the sound just revving the motor in the garage. Haven't driven her yet because it was a nasty rainy/snowy day, can't get my baby wet. But I am sure I will not be disappointed. Will give a test drive review once things clear up. I also reset the ECU with pedal method. Took a few trys, but finally got it to work. Now all I need is a coupe mid pipe and I should have the sound mods complete.

I was happy with the installation of the p/c + z-tube. I had the coupe midpipe installed on before I installed the p/c though.

Maybe you 03/04 guys will notice a big difference in the exhaust note, but for me, the mid-pipe didnt change much... just added a drone :x

As for the p/c + z-tube... awesome combo. When you get a chance, you're going to love ripping through the gears. I let my friend sit in the car and he was all ")(#@*)(@#$*)(@#*$ That sounds awesome!"

I reset the ecu based on the research I did. Search around for resetting ecu.

Resetting ECU:
Get in car, close all doors, windows,etc..
1. Turn key to the on position, but don't start car.
2. Immediately count to 3
3. Push and release gas pedal 5x in 5secs
4. Wait 7 secs
5. Push gas pedal to floor and hold for 10sec
6. At this point the check engine light should flash
7. Release gas pedal, then immediately hold gas pedal down again for 10sec
8. Check engine light should flash even faster.
8. You are done, turn off ignition.
9. Wait a few secs, start car up and go for a test ride.

It took me a few trys to get everything within the right time frame. I also held the clutch in while doing this, don't know if it matters or not. After the first couple trys and nothing, I thought this is B.S. Then gave it another try and it worked. I think the first 3 sec count is very crucial. I think I even turned key and said..1,2 and began step 3.

Going for a test drive here shortly, will post back on my opinion.

Ok, just got back from a test drive and GOOOOOOOOOD GAWWWWWWWWWWWD. That is some serious intake noise. If people don't do this mod for the simple sound, they are fools. I was even prepared for loud and got way more. I also get a nice whistle sound under slight acceleration. Will try to get some picks up tomorrow.

You'll get the whistle and the suction sound, but the intake roar will be subdued from the resonator in the stock tube. Might actually sound pretty cool though.

not bad at all. At first you notice it but after driving the car a few days it just sounds natural like you need something more. I remember geting the middy put on and thinking wow im glade i didnt go for a full exhaust because that was as loud as i wanted it (I also had IP ypipe installed with it) but about a week later you just get used to it and not even notice the drone around 1500rpm which u can even get rid of if u shift into tiptronic to 4th.
