exterior color

OK, I'm torn between color choices. I thought I wanted the brilliant silver originally, but have seen the twilight blue and I like it big time, I also like the black, and sometimes I don't see to much difference between the silver and the desert platinum. I know it comes down to personal choice, but any ideas about these colors will help.

Thanks

Check out the Diamond Graphite color. It's different than the brilliant silver.

Re: exterior color

I ust put my deposit on TB. I was all set to get the Garnet (I've always liked red) and then I saw the TB color for the first time. Forget about it. I loved it. I've never cared for blue cars but TB is more on the black side, which I like. To me, TB puts a little more class in the G. Makes it look more of a luxury vehicle while at the same time having a sporty look. Go TB - there's also not as many of them out there, which I like as well.

Here are some pictures of my Black on black G35 sedan. IMHO, black just looks better than any other color. Just looks sportier.

Re: exterior color

Get the Twi Blue. By far the best color. Get the 04.

Re: exterior color

Color choice might also be influenced by how much of a fanatic you are about washing your car and how you feel about the impact of sun on your paint over time. Dark colors show dust and dirt and are a challenge to keep clean. Sun also affects (degrades) darker colors more over time than lighter colors. The silver or desert plat. stay cleaner looking longer, but are more ordinary looking. Diamond graphite is really pretty and it's a mid-range color value--so stays cleaner looking than black/dk blue and is richer looking than silver.

That's my 2 cents. That said, color choice is a totally personal thing. Whatever you pick will be the right one for you.

Twilight Blue, Diamond Graphite, Obsidian Black are my favorite ones.

Re: exterior color

I purchased my new G35 in Desert Platinum with Willow interior - and I love it! I live in the LA area but ordered the car up from San Diego because I wanted that particular color and I'm really pleased we spent the extra money to do that. It's a little warmer looking than the silver but we already own a CL S in silver w/ balck interior so wanted something a little different. My personal experience with dark colors in the sun is that they show the dust within minutes after washing and unless you're methodical about waxing, the color fades. However, at the end of the day, color is so personal and hey, I'm a girl and wanted something a little more girly!!!

Re: exterior color

Hey Don,
I noticed that you have the Alpine XM/CD controller. Did you get both the XM and the MP3 CD changer? How is it hooked up, AUX or FM modulator?

I have the same setup in my Maxima and I was wondering if I should bother installing it in the G I just ordered? Thanks
Frank

HEY! Desert Platinum isn't "girly" -- it's "classy."
