high speed chase. front and center.

wow, where do i start!!!! still a little jumpy at this.......heading n/b on Fremont, stopped at red light on Main(Alhambra CA)......light turns green, i proceed forward,...then..BAM! this car(older 4door honda accord) blurrs by at about 40-50mph...don't know exact speed but was like whooshhhh, gone, literally runnung the red........stomped on brake, car just halted and felt a lilttle brake pulsing(thank goondess for abs).....then about 3 patrol cars stormed through.......by then all on the street was aware of what just transpired.........funny thing was that i saw the patrol cars a fraction of second before i heard the sirens!!! and guess what i was listening to on the cd?!.....I Ran(flock of seagulls)

so, afterwards, my mind was thinking all of the what ifs...........1. i be dead if i was broadsided at that speed......or seriously injured.......
2. who's gonna look after my wife and kids?..........3. why me? I've been a good citizen........4. i can't get my car turboed anymore..........just kidding on that one.....

but hey, anyhow..........becareful out there..........done, going back to work...

damn dude, that's a close call. glad ur OK.

that's why i always check the intersection before i go on a green light. not necesarily the high speed chase, but the other arseholes that run red lights.

Better go home and kiss your wife and kids and if you don't have any then kiss your Dog or even a Neighbor becuase you got very lucky today.

If it were me, I would have followed the cops and when they caught the guy, I would have taken a turn in Kicking his ***. I hate Fckers that put my life in jeopardy because they have no concern for their own.

Close call.....I'm glad you made it thru ok.
There's one reason most departments now are calling off police chases in favour of public safety.

Hey Cru... I have same CD -- my daughter liked it so much she downloaded the "I Ran" ring tune to her phone
Another 80's favorite is best of "Asia"

Had similar incident with a car running a red -- I was in my wife's old Dodge Caravan and had to hit the brakes hard... the van skidded to the side and our kids in the van thought we were going to get hurt. One was scared to tears.

This ironic story is still my favorite -- A childhood friend of mine got busted for shoplifting a 45rpm record titled, "Shame, Shame" -- a brief hit in the late 70's

Sorry to go off topic (again)
Glad to hear everything is OK on the near-miss.

hey guys, thanks for all the comforting words and thoughts, no matter where you're at.........i was gonna post in the so-cal region, but figured an IDIOT is an IDIOT no matter where this would of have happened........

cerr- i normally do look for red light runners, but just this one time i didn't

shodog- i kissed my wife, my 8 year old son, 6 and 4 year old daughter each TWICE tonight.....

trebien- yes, on cd.......i sometimes wonder if i'm still stuck in the 80s.

msedanman- tough choice i would assume for police dept to decide......i think it would depend on how much a threat the runner really is?

erikill- a bazooka sounds like a logical choice when out in the open and away from civilians......i mean why not?

codeflux- +1 on that.......and that fool was on the cell phone.....idiot x2.

mohawk2003- that is most ironic...........more ironic is that my 8 year old gave me a letter he wrote today at school......headline reads.....What happens in a car crash......swear on my kidney that's the title.

andy2423- an abosuletly good day cause i'm at home w/the family.

bbyg35-choose your songs wisely..............

I don't normally reply indiviually, but since you took the effoft to, i can only do the same.............
Peace on earch and may that fool sit in jail to rot before he takes an innocent bystander...........oh yeah, keep an eye out for red light runners....haha.....

I hope you thanked your guardian angle because they were with you. I had a simaliar close call to.

I was at a stop light in the middle lane I had a mustang GT on the left and a honda civic on the right. The light turn green, we all proceeded to start off and than I saw the mustang lock up brakes, my instict was lock them up, however, the civic didn't stop in time and got plowed by a semi-truck running the stop light. I stopped and called the police because it looked serious.
