I just replaced my factory sport springs with Eibach's I still have a smooth ride they advertise a 1.1 inch drop but I think it's a little more than that. I have two finger gap in the rear and a loose 1 finger gap in the front overall the drop looks even. A lot of folks have the Tein H tech springs though gives a 1.5inch drop in the front and .7 inch drop in the rear. Then some people have the 05 350Z springs which handle as well as the factory but provide a slight drop. Read the treads in the suspension section there are a lot of detail discussion on springs there.

The eibachs are a progressive spring which is intially softer than the stock springs but firm up stiffer than the stock springs as the suspension travels.
On my car I run the eibachs along with a set of 19" wheels with 30 and 35 series tires. I think the ride is softer than the '05 sport loaner we had for a month.
