Question Trade-in 2003 for 2004 G35x?

Well I found a silver 2004 G35x with 24k miles, the Nismo kit/Navi/Spoiler. Basically fully loaded for $26,500. Think thats a fair price? I was considering trading in my 2003 G35 sedan and take all the mods off. My car has been keyed 3 times in a 6 month period. I just feel its been unlucky or something bad may happen. Other option would be to paint it a different color? Any input would be greatly sppreciated

Why get in debt all over again when the G35X could be keyed all the same... Move to a different neighborhood or stop pissing off them women you date!

Hmm... I was thinking the same. I would hate to start all over again with payments. I have all these mods and would hate to sell them. Oh yeah...my women problems are over. I know that wont be happening again (crosses fingers)

Stick with what you have and when the new G35 comes out you can use your current one as the down payment!

Wouldn't the X feel slow compared to what you have now? Do you need AWD?

I would stick with the '03 until you are ready to step up to an '05 or newer.

The X has the 6MT rear final drive for lower overall effective gearing making it about as fast in a straight line as the regular 5AT model. That gearing change is part of the reason (in addition to weight and drivetrain frictional losses) the X gets worse gas mileage though.

Hmmm....I appreciate all the info guys So should I go for an '05? Or check out the '04 X? I wonder if I do go with the "X" the Y-pipe and bolt on stuff would fit. I'm going tomorrow to see it.

Why waste the $ on a 04-05. Especially for a car that is marginal at best compared to your car. All the mods you have make your car a better value(to me) than the other model yrs. I could see if they came out with a much much improved version. You don't have any payments either.. Well case closed.

Well you guys convinced me on saving some money and my car! I still might consider something different in the near future or just sell my car to somebody with the mods. Now taking offers! Thanks again fellas!
