Dynamt Saavy

My G just rolled 3ooo miles and just like everyone else I have terrible door rattles. The car has been to the dealership 6+ times and each time its supposedly "fixed".

Obviously the dealership doesn't have a clue how to fix the problem. I read the DIY guide on hear for getting rid of the door rattles. Mobile One Audio will dynamat all four doors for next to nothing.

Anyone who is Dynamt Savvy...... in your opinion will this fix the problem?

Anyone who has done this or is familiar with Dynamat please let me know.

Thanks

I have used dynamatt before on the trunk of my Maxima when I had two 12" subwoofers back there you will have to remove your doors and then just slap the dynamatt on get a dryer to get around the curves etc... pretty much just get in there and take care of business or pay someone else to do it for you if you are afraid of taking your doors apart... I would rather pay since I rather not spend my spare time doing it myself

Dynamatting is great. It will quiet the interior and get rid of some rattles. It will fix the rattling of the interior trim up against the door. It will not fix the rattling of the interior door trim pieces. If it is an audio shop that is doing the work - you should let them hear the rattles beforehand maybe they will be able to isolate them and actually fix the interior piece while it is off the car. On my last toyota I used foam weatherstripping to hold rattling pieces tight so they wouldn't rattle.

I would assume that if this place is any good they have done a lot of work to get rattles out of cars with good systems.

I have 25K and had only one rattle, it was fixed by the dealer. Even after the RBTS III, I had nothing come loose. I don't understand all the rattles people have..

it all depends on what is rattling on your door....some good suggestions above

adding "dynamat" to your door panels may or may not stop the rattles, but it will quiet your ride

if you haven't seen this thread on sound deadening, you may want to check it out, or if you like, we could meet up and discuss
