VDC off, BRAKE, SLIP LTS ON

SO today i start up my car and my ebrake light wont turn off, also my vdc off lights stays on and so does the slip lit. I press the ebrake nothing happens i hit the vdc button nothing happens. I dont feel anything different. Only thing i feel is my car backfires more than often on decel...maybe its been doing that forever but i just noticed it tonite. Anyone know of a tsb or anything pertaining to this ?? anyone experience this bfore??? i reset my ecu using the gas pedal method, well see what happens.

Your car backfires? That doesn't sound right (and also sounds non-related to your light issue) . As for the worn brakes, how would the amount of brake pad left cause your computer to turn on these lights? I'm really confused on this one (if it's true). Hmmmmm....

Can be any number of things including low brake fluid, blown fuses, low brake pad thickness, and a faulty brake switch.

Check the link in THIS THREAD for the appropriate TSB's.

Check your brake fluid level to see if it's low. If it's not that, then it could be this:

Can be two things:

As stated, the pads and or fluid are at low levels, OR your Throttle Chamber is failing. If your G goes into the all too familar "fail-safe" mode that's means it's def. your TC...

my car is doing this now - i need new brakes badly (stoptechs on order). what happens is the car fails the antilock brake test, and throws an error - it's only if i accelerate hard or brake hard. check your brakes.

/edit otherwise it's that TSB or the fuse is blown.

Had the same thing on my car. Dealer had to replace the ABS sensor and that solved the problem.

If you do a search on here you should find several others who have had this as well as other outcomes from the same problem.

BTW - took the dealership 3 visits to get it figured out and fixed so be patient.

it could be 2 sensors --- there's one in the front right and one in the front left wheel.

i'm suprised it took 3 times to get your car figured out trey's wife

I own a 2005 G35 sedan with premium and sport package.

A few weeks ago, the Air Bag light came one, and I took it to the dealer the next day.

The replaced a new Airbag, and the light went off ever since then.

Right after that, the VDC and SLIP light comes on! The dealer checked the brakes, and said they are in very good condition. They added brake fluid, but the VDC and SLIP just turns on everytime I drive on the freeway! Yet, it goes off whenever I reluanch the car.

I could hear some weird sound from the font left wheel area, but not exactly sure where it comes from. I could also feel that the brakes were working by the copmuter.

The dealer called me just now, and they said there is no problem with my car, and will check it again tonight. I have visited the dealer for 5 times in 2 weeks! And this is driving me crazy!

What are the possible solutions for this matter? Or should I take my car to the another dealer?

I just don't feel safe of driving this car anymore. Will that be related to my new tires, Michelin Pilot?
