I've got a problem with picking wheel colors...

Alright, here's the deal. I really want to get the ADR M-Sports in 19X8.5 all around. I love the hyper black color but i cant get over how awesome gold wheels look on IP. I was wondering if anyone would think it would be stupid to powdercoat the wheels on the left side of the car GOLD and leave the right side Hyper Black. That way if i ever got bored with one color i could just go look at the other side of the car and be happy. Or maybe i'll be really happy with the look of the gold and just powdercoat the other two a little later. I've never seen anyone do it so i just need some input.
Some pics of the car and the wheels just for reference:

It would be unique, that's for sure. Might get some funny looks when people pass by your car though

Pic of my car, if it helps you decide....

Yeah, i figured i'd definitely get some people doing double and triple takes when they see both sides of the car. BTW, woshiagni, your car looks awesome with those wheels. Is that just the Nur-Spec universal muffler?

Do all or none. Roll with them factory color for a while then get them coated. It'll be like a new package.

I am going through the same thing right now. I want the J8 pros. I really want the bronze finish but they are only offeset for the coupe (so I've been told). The factory won't coat another proper set in bronze for me. I ordered gunmetal. Gold was my next choice for my Ivory Pearl sedan if I couldn't get the gunmetal. If I don't like the color, I'm going to get mine coated too.

Gold wheels is a very hard look to pull off. I pulled the trigger on a set of Gold Work VS-XX's, but cancelled my order after seeing the actual gold color. My car has a very aggressive stance, and the Work's had an aggressive offset, so the look would have probably worked with my setup.

However, I don't think it will work on all cars or with all wheels for that matter. Get the wheels in their regular color, drive around with them like that for a while. Then, when you get bored, powdercoat them all to gold. Powdercoating them immediately may be a bad idea, because their normal finish would probably grow on you. Powdercoating only 2 of the wheels is just straight up .

It's the sedan specific axle-back Nur-Spec exhaust.

Not a fan of gold wheels, stick to the hyper black.
