umm... can everyone keep the negative comments to themselves? Your going to end up killing every thing that comes our way. We sedans dont get much in aftermarket parts, do you want it to stay that way?

Hey thats not negative just one persons vibe on this issue. Some of us have been here a long time and this ssems to happen more often than not-companys want to do somehting then pull out only to produce the item for the coupe. Its their flawed marketing that keeps many companys from making cash off of the sedan owners. The companys that have see their products sell. I hope we see something but......time will tell.

The last 4 vendors that have come on to this board to put out feelers for products have failed to deliver. They hype up the product and let us down every single time. I can't understand their financial reasoning when there are a group of 50 people ready to buy something before they have even seen pictures of it, and the vendor/manufacturer pulls out.

Either way, this is what we have come to expect. It will be a welcomed change if a manufacturer finally goes through with their promise, but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.

I would have to agree with Vodkarocket. What is really the advantage of posting a negative reply?

If a company wants to build something for the G, let them. If you don't like it for whatever reason, don't say anything.

Ummm.....no! It's a public forum my friend.... I disagree that that questions or comments like this would KILL every thing that would come on the sedan forum...I think it would actually MOTIVATE them to get it done (to prove us wrong) and "walk the walk", no? I think people who claim new mods on this forum should under promise & overachieve (i.e. tell us it will take 6-8 months....but then deliver the product to us in 4-5 months). Just my $0.02.

jimmyc13 is on point. If any of these manufacturers truly read these forums they would understand the amount of money and new customers they are leaving on the table. The comments should serve as motivation to produce the products that are obviously wanted by the sedan owners.

I respectfully disagree with this statement. I want to hear negative comments as they do factor into my buying decisions. Companies market their products as 'the one to get.' I want to hear from G owners that have empirical data on prospective products; how the products perform in the real world sways my buying decisions. Now, I will agree that some of the comments may be made with too much emotion. But in the end, I want to know if a product works or not - good or bad.

Yes. But in order for you to get empirical data on how a product performs in the real world, they would have to make it first correct?

Yes this is correct, but the same can be said for the companies that promise these products. I want the feedback about them as well, the feedback speaks to their reputation, their ability to deliver a product, and their record of standing behind their product. If what is perceived as a negative comment chases away a manufacturer, then shame on the manufacturer. The manufacturers that are dismissing the Sedan as a viable income source are missing the boat. I prefer to hear all comments, positive or negative.

FYI...this person also posted on torontomaxima.com about making a y-pipe & test fitting on a 4th gen. That thread died a silent death also...

Hey dude I absolutely understand what your talking about, the good thing is that Vibrant doesn't make a system for the coupe, we will just be making one for the sedan. My car goes to the muffler shop tomorrow so that we can make the prototype system tomorrow and thursday......I going to post the pics throughout the whole build up of the system.....

Okay guys here is the update of the exhaust system for our G35 Sedans. My 2004 Black 6MT Sedan is being dropped off @ the muffler shop tomorrow @ 10:00am. What happens after this is that they drop the stock exhaust system and overlook how much SS mandrel bend piping is need to build the whole system. After that I bring over one of our Vibrant Performance Dual Muffler, Vibrant Resonator and our Vibrant 350Z Y-Pipe and all the SS mandrel bend piping they need. Once the prototype is finished, I will drive my car for a few days to make sure that they are no leaks, vibration and sound issues....

I will be taking pictures of the system as we are working on it and post the pics up for you guys to see. I truly apologize for the delay in this process as we have been soooo very busy over @ Vibrant Performance. Because i'm a G35 Sedan owner myself, i've been very adamant about getting this exhaust system done, but because of the powers that are high than me (my bosses), I had to wait until now to get this done....

Again I apologize the wait, but I would like everyone one G35 Driver.com (sedan) that I want to see an exhaust system done for our cars also..... Take care and if anyone has any more questions please feel free to drop me a PM or email me @ work.

Sincerely,

excellent! Can't wait to see/hear the results. Please do not get discoraged over the negative ramblings; I believe it is well intentioned.

I would never get discouraged over negative comments cause I understand what it's like to have a vehicle that doesn't really get the aftermarket support. What's really funny is that every car i've ever owned it's always been that way. I can't wait to see and hear the results also.
