Yeah you can just take the cap off and its right there to see the color.
If you need to use the ones from the seller then you can do it yourself (just take the bronze ones out and put in the silver ones) If your going to do it yourself make sure you go to a gas station while you perform this so you can refill the tires. But make sure that you check the pressure with your own gauge because the gas station ones can lie alot.

I'm right there with you feeling like i live on this thing even though i do so much other than it. Yeah you just twist out the old ones they might get stuck a little but just pull it out with your fingers. Simple lefty loosey righty tighty screws. good luck if you need to change em.

One more item on tire pressure. If you keep it on the high end of manufacturers recommendations, you'll start to notice more wear in the center of the tire. If you keep it low, you'll notice the tire wears more on the edges. My last tire was a Pilot Sport A/S and I kept the pressure between 38 and 40, and I started seeing cord in the middle of the tire while the edges still had a decent amount of tread. Not a biggie, but you'll wear out your tire a little faster if you run higher pressure.

If you run your tires low (anything below 28) for too long your sidewall will go bald pretty fast (i witnessed it on my moms 20's) and if you keep the tires over 40 it'll bald in the middle. Manufacturer recommended tire pressure is CRAP, they dont care about how your tires wear or how they handle. Keep your tires at 32-36 PSI and they will last longer.

Took me a while to find a good set you know.
Where have you been? You haven't been too active on the forum. Or maybe I am just spending too much time here.

Wheels make such a difference on a car, those 18s should be standard on our car, and give us a report on the snow performance of your Avons.

)Just from this thread, GP taught me "valve core". I didn't know what the heck it was before. HAHA...
Also, Mr. Chico suggested to use 45 series instead of 40 series to lessen the fender gap.
He's da man! Sorry if I left anyone else that helped me with my rims/tires. I appreciate all your help.
As for the Avon's...I am sure it's night and day vs the Horenza's. It snowed over 2 feet here yesterday. I didn't take my G out though (I know it's a waste...HAHA) but the rims were just too clean to get it dirty.

Is this what I need? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stand...34875238QQrdZ1
Also, I checked the tire pressure and after 1 day the psi was the same for that wheel so I guess maybe I was just a bit over reacting but I'll keep an eye on it.
When you remove the valve core, I guess you need to insert the new ones really quick right? Otherwise it'll lose alot of air.

Yeah, your gonna wanna change that out to a silver one, you dont have to buy one on ebay, go to any place that installs tires and just ask for a silver valve core.
Yes you need to insert the new ones quickly but if you have a compressor or are next to a compressed air source you can let it go down a lot and not worry about it.
