How difficult would it be to add these options?

I bought my 03 used a few weeks back and it doesn't have a few options that I wish it did. How hard would it be to add these...

Automatic Headlights

Heated Seats

Auto-dimming mirror

Any thoughts?

LOL! Maybe so. The coupe is a beautiful car, it's just too small for me.

Auto-dimming mirror is the easiest to do without much work. You can get aftermarket heated seats but the switches probably won't look as good as stock. If you want stock heated seats, with switches and all, that will probably be more involved. Do you have blanks on your center console where the switches would be? As for the lights, I'm thinking that would be difficult as well. You have to get the sensor, a new light switch, and some kind of relay? I don't know really. I'm just guessing.

Ugh too much of a headache to get those options in the aftermarket world... Mainly the seats then the Autodimming mirrors I am sure there is a kit for this option but if you aren't a technical guy would you really want an aftermarket shop mucking with your lights, wires, seats etc... In the end it would have probably been more cost effective to find a used car with those options.

What I meant was you can get a stock auto-dimming mirror (which is pretty much the same as aftermarket ones you see in catalogs) and have the dealer install it for you. I purchased a Nissan Frontier and wanted the auto-dimming mirror with compass and outside thermometer so I bought it as an accessory and had the dealer install it. It wasn't cheap, though. I think they charged me 2.5 hours of labor since they had to run a line to the front of the truck for the thermometer. Other than, price, that is very do-able. Heated seats can be done aftermarket as parts are available. I'm not sure if it can be done with stock parts, but either way, it is probably too much of a hassle to undertake.

Out of the options listed the only one worth getting now would be the Auto-dimming mirror. I hardly use the auto headlights. They turn on under overpasses and the like and the constant on/off isn't good for the HID's. Do you have HID's? The heated seats I could care less about, although my GF would love it if I had them.

I'm not sure if I have HID's or not. My lights are blue/white at night, so I think so.

I agree w/ CRU on the auto-headlights.....I have this in my car, and I NEVER use it....do ya want mine? Just don't see the point in it...I'm very concious of if/when I need to use headlights (like when it rains...even in the daytime, I turn mine on for safety reasons (so people see me), not so I can see technically). BTW....those people who drive on a dark/rainy day who DON'T turn on their freaking headlights should be required to have the auto-headlights in their car by law!!!!!

As for the heated seats..you obviously live in a cold climate....I LOVE mine...esp. since I have a remote starter for my car. They do offer aftermarket heated seat elements/setup, but it'll run you probably $400 per seat minimum....not sure if you can get OEM ones or not.

Good luck!

If you have HID's you'll know. When you turn on the headlights they'll look really blue then gradually turn to bright white after a couple of seconds.

Then I have the HID's cause that's exactly what they do. I wasn't overly concerned about heated seats until the last few days. Last night it was 0 here and when I got in my car at 1:30am - it was cold! I've never heard of heated seats effecting a guys jewels. That's news to me.

Knock yourself out. Just don't turn it up too high and kill all your baby batter.
