can anyone help ? G35 2003.5 sedan's Horn
hi,
i've got a problem that just appeared on my G35 2003.5 with AT/Nav. its weird take a look at this: if I'm running 30Km/h+ and I turn on the Rear miror defrost the horn keeps honking on and on (continuous beep) until I turn off the defroster. I must also mention it's the first time I'm driving the car in below -10 Celsius. has anyone seen this problem? I'm taking it to the dealer on monday morning and it's still under the warranty... but I'd like to be more informed about the problem before I get there.
thanks.

Does your horn work normally, otherwise? It sounds like a ground problem, either in the horn relay or the RW Def circuit. Never heard of that particular problem, but ground problems can be a real headache!
the horn works well on it own. The rear def works fine when parked. but when I go faster than 30km/h the horn goes off... sometime the horn hesitates but in the end it goes. well i'm gonna send it in tomorrow and post what i get.
thanks.
thanks.
for the sceptic, here's a vid i took with my phone... I'm planning on showing it to the dealer just incase the symptoms decide not to show when I take it in
ps: you'll need a 3gp viewer (phone video format)

I was reading the service manual all-day yesturday and I was thinking it might be a wiring problem close to the IPDM cuz the "rear def relay" pin is right next to the "horn relay" pin (51,52), which might explain the 30km/h required to kinda move a loose wire to short with the next one...
But I got my car back today, turns out to be the circuit board that holds the buttons was at fault...
i liked the first explanation better, sound more satisfying
