my review of my 05x
current mileage is 16000. A few months back i had the tsb for the squeaks and rattles done on my 05x i dont expect a car to be rattle free because that is just quite unrealistic, but the aluminum around the shifter is loose and making a constant clicking noise any time i accellerate or decellerate. has anyone that had teh tsb done experienced the same prob? oh and i had the compression rods replaced about 1000 miles ago after telling them about everyone on here. It took them four times to actually change them. i think the noise is coming back with the compression rods too. olther then that the brakes work great but at my current mileage are just about shot. im going to replace them with akebono pro act ceramic pads which seemed to get good reviews. Hopefully they will last longer. I drive 30 miles one way to work and its mostly hwy. i barely hit 20mpg even hwy. unless i set cruise at like 60mph i will get maybe 22mpg. i dont drive like a maniac most of the time so thats a little disappointing but i expected that when i bought the car. i just switched to synthetic so maybe i'll get a bit better gas mileage. but other than that the car is quick and handles great. In the snow ny had last week really made me feel good about my purchase..the snow mode works great.

I took delivery of mine on dec 5 2005, so i've had my g35x 14 months now and it still puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it. i havent had any real problems with rattles yet, just a few minor ones coming somewhere from the rear. Those seem to only happen when it's really cold outside and go away when the car warms up. Nothing unexpected. Im getting about 18MPG so yes, that's low and makes me sad. I have 11,000 miles on it and the brakes are doing well although I heard some faint squeeling the other day... *knock on wood*. I live in michigan so I bought in some blizzak tires for the winter. Awesome investment, imo. Overall I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and, barring anything falling apart, I'll be looking at that 08 coupe for purchase in a couple years.
