Re: G35 Sedan vs. M45

I drove a loaner M45 for a few days, and I have to say it's a straight-line monster. There are few cars out there with the space, luxury, etc. and still has that pull in any gear. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near as crisp in handling, but that's the price you pay- physics is a b!tch.

For where I am in my life, the G is perfect- it's sporty, stylish, and not a boat. The M45 is where I would head a little later with kids, etc. and I want a sporty yet more spacious car. And the Q? Well, when I hit 65 years old, I'll get one

Yeah, after testing the M45 I've decided to grab one for a project car...I really need to do some work on its suspension though- it needs tighter handling...But I won't be purchasing one for about a month, so I have time to locate parts...I still like the G better, but the M45 seems like it could be fun...I hope so...

Re: G35 Sedan vs. M45

Actually, Eibach has a Pro-Kit under development...I wanted to see if Tein was going to do anything, but if they are they aren't tellin'...What I can't find is camshafts, pistons, exhaust, headers, CAI, ECU, or forced induction...I have all the cosmetic pieces and audio/video mapped out, but I need the engine upgrades- I want more horsies and torque...Oh well...The G was so much easier to put together, and understandably so...I've decided to get the M45 anyway and wait out the parts (well, business-wise it's been decided, it's not like I'm buying it)...I know Junction Produce has equipment, I just can't get a hold of their catalog...

However, styling SUCKS HARD CORE. Handling is decent for a large car, but the styling has GOT TO GO!

Are you kidding? I like the styling. It looks the way a car is supposed to look. Not a jelly bean that too many cars these days look like. Why are so many cars these days so high in the rear? I guess it's to increase trunk volume. But I don't like it.

Somebody compared the M45 to the Marauder. Well, I like the Marauder's looks.

Re: G35 Sedan vs. M45

It does resemble the Marauder, but it looks better...I'm all about it now...I want to do some subtle cosmetic mods but nothing that will damage the lines...It looks like an import muscle car, I think, with a bit more class and thought behind the appearance...When I was with my ex researching which car I wanted to mod for the company she wanted the M45, so I guess women like how it looks and that's never a bad thing...

Re: G35 Sedan vs. M45

I was in the same boat with the M. There's not going to be a big aftermarket for it becasue of production numbers. But that car is a big pimp! If it changes next year we may trade in the G-35 for it. But for now the performance market is bigger for the FM platform period Z, Coupe, FX and sedan.
