Do you have a 5at or 6mt? I had a 5at for a loaner once and hated every minute of it. It's performance clearly can't match a 6MT. So if it's a 5at I think it will be close. If I had to guess I'd say you win by a length up to 90mph.
Here's a novel idea. Go out to the track and actually find out? I mean do you guys have your 1st born children on the line so it requires you to ask who will win before hand?

I have an automatic. I raced one of those before. From start to how fast you want I could win easily, but when we tried from 65, he got ahead of me about 1 car and as soon as I got to 140mph(still in 4th gear) I was ahead of him about 2 cars. He was already in 6th gear. So at the end I still won.
They are quick cars, but only when their vtec kicks in.

isn't an rsx-s just a hopped up civic (rebaged w/different sheetmetal)? is this what we're racing now? we didn't get enough of racing hopped up neons?
this is not ment as a stab at OP, but rather just general frustration with how the vq doesn't respond well to mods. we have no hopes of beating hopped up bmws (m3's) (yea yea i know, turbo and nos, but bmw does it with 3.3L why can't we do it with 3.5L?) so we race neons and civics. and what's compounding the problem is that there are so many cars now that have the same acceleration as a stock g35 and they all wanna race. automatic lexuses are killing us now, with samll modifictions (exhaust) those 350s run 13.3 quarter miles, that was corvette territory just a couple years ago.

if you have an auto, just put it in manual when you start so you are in the top of a low gear to start the race, then once you floor the accelerator to start, just put in in drive as it is going to rev to redline anyway in drive. Leaving it in manual will only let you f up the shift and bounce off the rev limiter and fall behind.

I have Coupe 6mt, ztube, popcharger, kinetix ssv, headers, ypipe, jwt clutch. I raced the guy I sold my 02 Automatic Base RSX to and he whipped my ***. He easily had 3 cars on me by the time i was ready to shift to 3rd. I got the jump on him and didn't miss a shift. Those cars are very easy to make fast.

No offense or anything, but do you know how to drive stick?!?!?!? You lost to an 02 base model RSX???? Where there any mods done to the rsx? If not then you need to learn how to drive. Once again, not trying to bag on you but.... DAMN!

Yes I can drive stick. The RSX has type r manifold, cai, kpro, ips stage 2 cams, motor mounts, dc race header, tanabe hyper medalion exhaust, venom nitrous, tanabe flex coilovers, and pirelli pzero tires. It dynos at 312hp only weighing 2721 pounds, compared my the G35 weighing 3481 pounds that dynos at maybe 240-250 hp stock tires.
And to answer your next qustion, we did run without spray too, he still beat me but just not as badly.
