lol, i just like to hear jasper rant and rave about how the OEM Aero bumper is not a nismo product.
I want to know what he thinks about stillen's assertion that it is a nismo bumper.
Now do you get the point or do i need to explain further?

stillen is not the only aftermarket dealer that misrepresents this product, hoping the name will help sales.
but on the gruppe-s site, i only saw the actual nismo kit for the coupe, which is the only one they make for the g35 line.
a few years back (read: 80's), thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of people referred to HIV as AIDS. thousands of people misspoke... but it was 'ok' because you knew what they meant. until... someone close to the situation knew that there was a indeed difference between HIV and AIDS...
like us, the g35 owners, know there is a difference between nissan and nismo. it's up to us to dispell the myths that the hundreds of people before us made it ok to call a duck something it's not.
i'm a big fan of nismo. which is why i called and verified my information. even they will tell you that is what it is commonly referred to as. but they don't make it, had no part in the design, and don't offer as a nismo part.

no way Jasp, then why the heck does it say **NISMO ONLY**
that wouldn't make sense, they are obviously reffering to the "nismo" bumper vs non"-nismo" bumper. Maybe if it just said NISMO but it says lower grills are for "nismo only"

the correct part description is would be 'aerodynamic body kit' or, more accurately - 'aerodynamic front bumper cover'.
which is commonly referred to as the aero-kit, or aero bumper. and that would make the stock bumper cover 'non-aero'.
is there a difference between the aerodynamic body kit for the coupes (03-04) and the nismo kit for the coupes? yup. why is that? because nismo did not design the factory part. but yet, miraculously, there is an aerodynamic body kit (which consisted of a lip and splash guards). splash guard were offered for the 03 and 04. and an aerodynamic body kit was available for the 03 and 04 sedan...
