WOT smells bad... Is this right?

My friend, who was in his car while I pulled away from him, told me that there was a smell of unburned gas out of my exhaust while I was under wide open throttle... I was wondering if this is normal? My friend also noted that there was no visible fumes or smoke, just bad smells...

Most manufactures looking for every bit of horsepower usally bump up the compression ratio. This requires higher octane gas and in most cases the car will run richer to avoid detonation. That's why many aftermarket tuners who program the pcm lean it out and pick up power. I would monitor your concern, but I think you have nothing to worry about.
