Creaking noise from rear - G35x
I have a creak noise from the rear when I accelerate slowly from a stop. If I accelerate/decelerate at parking lot speeds or go up/down pitched driveway entrances, I hear it too. It's a 2005 G35x. It sounds like the rear suspension, driver's side. (It's not the windows, or the front compression rods, as they have all been fixed and this is clearly coming from behind. I have also tried tightening the brace behind the rear seats).
I have lubed the rear sway bar bushings and it still does it.
I have heard some say sway bar endlinks, so I might try that next.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Colin

FYI-I have a 2005G35x with the same issue.
I should say, had the same issue until yesterday. Peninsula Infiniti in Redwood City located the and eliminated the creaking.
Thankfully it was easy to replicate- Just go in or out of a driveway. Something was flexing back there, Infiniti said it was metal on metal, not sure exactly what they did to fix it. However, it's gone now.
At the same time, they removed the left rear door panel and elimited the creaking there as well. Further, they lubed all of the dash vents and elimited the creaking there.
Now she's quiet even on bumpy roads. I'll keep you posted....
Additionally, I'll dig in to see what the fix was at the rear.
Update:
They tell me that near the C-Pillar, there were two pieces of metal rubbing against eachother between the pillar and seat frame. I think it was a pain in the rear to fix- Additionally, he mentioned that in the past, they have had to re-torque some of the connecting bolts in the same area of the car-
In my case, sounds like they bent some stuff to make it go away.
They returned the car in good shape, without the creak.

I finally figured it out after spending a half hour in the backseat with a friend driving around. For me, it was the seatbelt mechanism, where it mounts to the rear deck area. Some foam insulation cured it.

I get this noise too on my 05x when I turn into an uphill or out of a downhill. I've been just ignoring it. Read alot of posts saying the dealers lube this and that and replaced compression rods, etc. Also, read that the noise comes back. I've learned to live with the little squeaks here and there but just wondering if this is a quick fix. Where is this seatbelt mechanism? Any pictures of where you put the foam?
Thanks...
