** BUILD A SUPER SEDAN **
So you have a G35s...now what are you going to do with it? I was toying with putting this post in the tech/mods section, but I do not have a "specific mod question". This is more an exercise in the bottomless wallet what-if. So here's the question --
What makes the perfect "Super Sedan" for you?
The game is simple, post all the goodies you would love to have your G35s kitted out with. Post the item, the mfg, $$, performance benefit and a link if you have it.
Keep it to the real world (no "anti-ticket" buttons and the parts must be avail for the Sedan)
Have fun...I'm building my list now. Cheers, -Ted

All righty, I'll bite the hook on this one
I'll show if I have the part already with a * and I'll show how much I want any part I don't have with a ** followed by a rating scale of 1-10.
I am against any kind of forced induction, it you want that, have at it. No prejudice from me on what YOU may like.
ENGINE-EXHAUST-DRIVETRAIN
Crawford intake pleneum *have it (rating 10!!!) $450
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/crawfordzcar/plenum.htm
Polishing of the rest of the pleneum track that's below the Crawford pleneum *haven't done yet **7 $my time
Injen CAI *have it (rating 10) @$240
Nismo lightned flywheel *don't have **5 (pain, big pain to install) $450 Jim Wolf flywheel is a smidge lighter and can use clutch's ment for 300ZX turbo's, cost $414. http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...threadid=33401
LSDunique steel ceramic coated test pipe's to replace secondary cat's that the y-pipe bolts into. *don't have **8 $175
http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...threadid=36913
If the current drive to get 25 interested people for borla to do a sedan true dual doesn't come about. I want either of the following.
Buy a slightly used Borla true dual of a member on my350Z.com and have a muffler convert it for sedan use, using a regular borla muffler in the sedan's usual location.
**8 @$750 (sell original borla muffler to lower cost's)
Or I want to replace the factory Y-pipe with this y-pipe http://www.i-m-racing.com/fufrypi355wh.html $449 **10
All other factory piping, including my Magnaflow resonator would stay. The factory muffler would be removed and replaced with a dual outlet Magnaflow muffler.
Kaaz Limited Slip Diff *don't have **8 $731 http://www.phase2motortrend.com/nismosmod.html
(current suspension mods have lessoned my need for Kaaz LSD from a 10 to a 8) $731 to buy, @$100 misc parts, $400 average install cost ='s real cost of around $1200
SUSPENSION-TIRES-BRAKES
350Z springs and struts *have **8 $150 shipped 0$ cost to install myself. Would rate higher but setup has to much bounce. I will eventually replace them with coilovers.
JIC FLTA2-RS with custom dampener valving and custom spring rates *don't have **10 @$2200
Cusco sway bars *have them now **9 $395 shipped
http://www.gruppe-s.com Would rate them a 10 if they had the 20% softer rear bar the the EVO350 bar set has. But I'm perfectly happy with the Cusco's and I have no plan's on getting EVO's rear bar. But if people can afford the extra $150 for the EVO350 bar's, I would get them. But remember were still talking about me giving the Cusco bars a 9 rating, vs a 10 for the EVO's. Not a drastic thing in my book.
Brembo's off track Z or Coupe 6mt *don't have **10 street price is around $1700 for all hardware to equipe all four corners.
Bridgestone S03's 255/40-18 *don't have **10 $ouch!
Will get once current Kumho MX's wear out
I'd love to get 8.5" front 9.5" rear ssr GT III rims and 255/40-18 front's and 275/30-18 rear's. But the cost is to rich for my blood, I won't do it. I'll stick with my 18x8 enkei's.
Crawford Sturt Front Strut Tower Bar * have it now **10
waiting to engineer a mounting method as all G35's do not have provisions to mount strut tower bar's like the Z come with. I bought it for $75, never installed by it's origal owner.
Create all Z underbody chassis brace's that the G35's don't get. *don't have **10 $no idea (honestly)
Ivry 6mt sed
Crawford Pleneum
Injen CAI

Re: ** BUILD A SUPER SEDAN **
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of providing someone with a shopping list of parts that took me months to locate and research...I'll just say that having business capital is a huge benefit when it comes to bottomless wallet, and the parts list alone I've developed is runnig me $80K...All I know is this ride is expensive to tune, but it is an Infiniti and I guess that somewhat justifies it...And a brutal Supra or RX-7 costs just as much in parts if not more...

Re: ** BUILD A SUPER SEDAN **
Actually I'm hoping that my G35 recipe can hold its own against AMGs and Ms...And I'd love to smoke an Audi RS6, or at least run with one...We'll see...
