You're getting confused with the Aero and Sports packages. "Premium" package applies to the "inside" of the car only.

Well, the HID lights aren't the inside, they were part of the premium in '03 if I remember correctly.

OK, I let one slip by... "Most" are inside.

I put my garage door opener in the sunglass holder up above the rearview mirror. All I got to do is hit the bottom for the holder to drop, then hit the garage opener button. It fits in snug so it doesn't bang around while driving.

my homelink has a longer range than my garage remote. It might be the position of the homelink, I don't know but I can open it as I pull into the street(6 houses away) vs. my remote, where I have to hit it about 2 houses away. It's better because I don't have to wait for the door to slowly open. by the time I pull into the driveway, the door is fully opened.

Bad news...the summer heat has caused the velco adhesive to melt and now the remote won't stick. Maybe I'll try the sunglass holder trick.

They actually sell a product that does this (different than what he described). It has a small reflector that you mount on the outside of your garage & wire it to your opener & when you flash your lights, the door opens. I personally don't like this, as that means, ANYONE can open your garage door...if you live in a shady neighborhood (luckily I don't), won't take too long for passers-by or neighbors to catch on!

It's better to go with a more secure solution. I've thought about getting this one: Flash2Pass.

I could not get mine to work with my old 350Z, but now I have it
working on my new G35.

My door opener is "rolling code" but old (1999)...so it takes two
people (or a rubber band) to get it programmed with HomeLink.

HomeLink programming w/older rolling code openers:

1. Have ladder ready (to reach door's "code" button)

2. Have second person in car

3. Park just outside garage, engine running

4. Close door w/remote

5. Clear HomeLink memory (see manual)

6. Program HomeLink w/remote (door will open)

7. Place ladder under door motor

8. Find door "code" button

9. Have second person press/hold Homelink button

10. At same time press/hold door "code" button til door's light blinks

11. Second person release HomeLink button

All Done.....Press/hold HomeLink button til door operates

If second person is not available, use rubber band w/ small wad of
masking tape to keep HomeLink button pressed in step "9"

We love our G!

Don't know about that, basically if anyone steals your car they'll also have a key to your house!! And with your vehicle registration, it wouldn't be too hard to find your house.

well if someone steals your car (which is nearly impossible) then you'd have bigger problems if you had a remote or they see you have a homelink. I dont think they'll know that they can go to your house and flash highbeams to get in. And most of the time, car jackers will not dare to be cruising around and get caught with the car. They will drive it to a chop shop right away. They already commited grand theft auto, I'm sure they dont want to commit home invasion too and get caught for both...just my .02.
