After seeing the new GS with the LED/HID bulb for the license plate area, the standard bulb looks mighty dim.. Anyone know if they do, and if so, what size?

 

Yea they do just search for the size and u can find them on a few sites. I got em on ebay for my black G and it looks really nice at night. I get many compliments even though its such a simple mod. Just renember if you decide to get them through ebay make sure their not piaas or a brand you know.

i got LEDs for my plates from ledtronics.com and they light up pretty bright.

How many Lights does the License Plate Have?

 

My 2004 sedan has only ONE license plate light (in the middle).

Another source for these bulbs is : SuperBrightLEDs

Their brightest 194 bulbs have 5-LEDs and 6-LEDs. The 6-LED version has all LEDs facing "downward" or along the bulb's axis for an end-fire pattern. The 5-LED version has 4 LEDs facing radially, and one facing axially. Given that the G35 has a diffuser cover over the bulb, it is not clear which of these versions would provide the most light on the plate.

 

I'm having troubles taking the cap off myself... Do I need any tools doing that?
